Shahid Kapoor who is on a remake spree made some interesting revelations over the original version and Nani’s performance. Sharing his heart out with a leading entertainment website, Shahid who is riding high with the success of ’Kabir Singh’, revealed the phase he went through before giving a nod for the script. Talking about the low phase he went through with a series of flops, the young and dynamic actor said he eventually realised one should always continue doing what is close to heart. He also reacted about being stereotyped for opting remakes in a roll.
“I didn’t deliberately plan to go with remake again. I desperately wanted to make an original film but was drawn to the storyline of ‘Jersey’. Shahid then confronted that Nani’s performance left him in awe. “The performance touched my heart…I cried four times while watching the film. I wanted to say this story to many people who went through the low phases but came out victorious,” he added. The ‘Vivah’ actor revealed that he was nervous accepting the role and to begin the work on sets.
