Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Gajendra Shekhawat criticized that the Kaleswaram project has become like an ATM for KCR. And YTP president Sharmila protested why no action is being taken. She met the CBI officials in Delhi and complained that there was corruption in the name of projects in Telangana. A petition has been served to ask for an immediate investigation. The complaint stated that the state government has committed corruption in the name of the Kaleswaram project to the tune of lakhs of crores with Megha company. After talking to the media, she lashed out at KCR and Megha Krishna Reddy.
Sharmila questioned why action is not being taken against the contractors despite the huge irregularities in the Kaleswaram, Palamuru-Rangareddy, and Mission Bhagirath projects. He protested that three major projects along with Palamuru-Ranga Reddy in Telangana were allotted to one company. He alleged that the Kaleshwaram project is living proof of KCR’s thirst for corruption. It was alleged that KCR was involved in massive corruption in the construction of the project. He explained that while the construction cost of the Kaleswaram project was Rs.38 thousand crores when YS was CM, it reached Rs.20 thousand crores after KCR became CM.
Sharmila asked what is the rationale behind awarding every contract to Megha from small work to the Kaleswaram project and Mission Bhagiratha scheme. It is alleged that there is a corrupt deal between KCR and Megha organization. It was fired that the rules and regulations were violated in the process of awarding the tenders to the Megha company. “Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay are not talking about this matter at all, maybe they are also getting bribes from Megha?” She deposed that.
Sharmila said that due to KCR’s lack of foresight and incompetence, the Kaleswaram project has not worked for anything. He said that the construction cost of Kaleswaram is increasing. He said that the CBI has been asked to investigate KCR’s corruption with a DIG-level officer. He said that BRS has opened another drama and the country has not lost anything because of it. Sharmila said that KCR is not eligible to continue as CM and demanded immediate resignation.
She questioned the reason why the BJP ignored the irregularities of KCR and Megha organization. She further criticized the BJP leaders for not taking any action against KCR. BJP leaders want to answer what reason they are backing away. Sharmila said that if KCR is sincere, he should prove that there were no irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. If this pattern of corruption continues, the state will suffer. She said that the TRS regime has incurred debts of 4 lakh crore rupees in eight years.
Sharmila said that she formed the party to bring back the YSR regime in Telangana and that she has nothing to do with the affairs of Andhra and that the opposition parties should file a complaint with the CBI if there are any irregularities there. She explained that he has no idea of contesting with parties like BJP, MIM, and Congress. Sharmila further stated that her entire childhood was spent in Telangana, and her education, marriage, and life were all here. She made it clear that his party has no relation with the ruling YCP in AP. She added that her whole life is connected with Telangana, and made it clear that he has no plans to ally with any party in Telangana and will contest alone.
Responding about the Munugodu by-elections, she said that this election did not emerge because of the death of the MLA. She criticized that BJP did it with the desire to come to power and TRS accepted the resignation and brought the election to maintain their power with the religion of power. Earlier, Sharmila had described the Bypoll elections as a dog fight in the street. She questioned how the Munugodu election would be a referendum, saying that KCR’s rule is incompetent and that if the government is dissolved and elections are held, it will be a referendum.
