Further creating ‘viral’ terror in the state which is already struggling to curb corona, Telangana from the past few days has been registering a sharp spike in Malaria and dengue cases. Diagnosis centers are witnessing a huge rush with patients panicked as corona shares common symptoms with Dengue and Malaria.
Confirming the same, the state health department stated that the lion share of cases is taken by Hyderabad. Hyderabad alone has recorded 765 dengue cases so far while a majority of patients are complaining of high temperature with body pains, rashes, low platelet count, and often a drop in BP. On the other hand, Malaria cases are also on the rise with 492 new malaria cases reported in a single week.
On this note, many raised concerns over the state not having a dedicated minister for health after Etala Rajendra rendered his resignation. This has led to a shortage of regular reviewers of the department.
