Even as the probe into the alleged rape of a patient’s attendant in Gandhi hospital still underway, the gang-rape case got a shocking cinematic twist. Ruling out the gang-rape allegations on the attendant, Police on Thursday has ruled that the entire Santosh Nagar rape incident was a fake.
Police investigation revealed that the whole case is a story knitted by a young woman to take revenge on the man she loved. Into details, a 21-year-old woman approached the Santhosh Nagar police on Wednesday claiming that she was raped by an auto-rickshaw driver along with his friends.
The police who are already stuck in the Gandhi Hospital case flung into action immediately. Special teams were formed to investigate based on the information given by the young woman. CCTV footage of cameras from Yadagiri Theater to Pahadi Sharif was examined. All the auto drivers in the area were thoroughly questioned as the police were left disappointed with no single clue.
There are several inconsistencies in her statement and the footage recovered in the nearby areas. The police smelled a loophole as the woman’s workplace is just two kilometers away from the house. Further strengthening suspicion, the woman boarded an auto near Yadagiri Theater.
With police escalating the interrogation, the woman confessed that she cooked up the story. She revealed that she did it out of grudge that the man she loved is getting married to another woman.
