Two days after a video of a Bengaluru woman named Hitesha Chandranee alleging a Zomato delivery boy of assaulting her which left her nose bleeding, the company’s founder Deepinder Goyal released an official statement that brought a new twist in the tale.
Stating that the investigation is underway, the food delivery app’s CEO in his statement said that they are helping both Hitesha and Kamaraj (our delivery partner). He also specified that it had delisted Kamaraj after Hitesha Chandranee alleged that the executive hit her and left her with a bloody nose after a heated conversation about why her order was late.

Goyal further said Kamaraj, who has been delivering for Zomato for the past 26 months, has made about 5,000 deliveries with Zomato and has a rating of 4.75/5- among the highest on the platform.
On the other side of the coin, Kamaraj, the delivery boy in an interview with the news channel it was in fact, Chandranee who first verbally abused him, and then hit him with a slipper. In a shocking revelation, he also said that she hit herself accidentally with her ring, which caused her nose to bleed.
