Former Council Chairman K Swamy Goud who led the Telangana agitation on forefront seems to join the ‘discontent’ bandwagon while the leader is blazing all guns at his own party.
Days after he made controversial comments over the caste politics in the state, the TRS leader on Sunday hit the wrong button yet again.
Leaving the high command in splits, Swamy Goud lauded TPCC Working President & MP A Revanth Reddy. Known to be the main rival of KCR, Revanth would be the least possible person a TRS leader can praise.
Talking at an event organised to unveil the statue of Sarvai Papanna at Boyinapally-which was also attended by Revanth Reddy, Swamy Goud was seen going all hails for the congress leader.
Taking the TRS cadre to shock, Swamy Goud further said that despite coming from a dominant community, Revanth has been waging a relentless fight for SC/ST people. He also discursively took potshots at a few TRS leaders.
A few of the senior leaders in TRS are apparently undergoing bad times with the tough fight from the new entrants in the party. Consequently, most of the old hands have become either inactive or are looking for alternatives.
Senior leaders like K Swamy Goud, S Madhusudhana Chary, Jupally Krishna Rao are amongst the leaders who are simmering with discontent. It can be noted that Swamy Goud has been away from active politics after his term as Council chairman ended.
