Telangana budget meetings are going on. In the meetings, the episode of verbal spat occurred between Etela and KTR with respect to the Singareni. Etela Rajender subtly warned KTR to stop passing unnecessary comments on the Singareni mines since it is his party, BJP, which is in power at the center. KTR said that the Center has written letters asking states not to buy coal from coal blocks in the country.
He said that states have been advised to import coal from abroad. He asked for whose benefit the center asked for it. KTR alleged that big coal mines would be allotted to his friend after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Australia and Indonesia.
Further, he said that the government that works for one friend is not theirs. He said that Etela spoke about Singareni with great pain. Since their party is in power at the center, whatever Etala says, they want to speak very carefully. He mentioned that Etela is saying that the center is saying that Singareni is not doing anything in the private sector.
And he fired as to who is selling Visakha steel as scrap. He asked what was the actual policy of the BJP. Earlier, Etala had said that the Center has no idea to privatize Singareni. He said that the state government has written a letter not to allot blocks to Singareni. He commented that he has a letter written by the state to the Center asking for coal blocks.
