As the election time approaches, unexpected developments are taking place in Telangana politics. MIM, which is close to BRS, seems to have gone into reverse gear by insulting Congress. Will it come closer to Congress now after quarreling with the BRS? Doubts of such is heard in political circles.
Akbaruddin Owaisi washed away from BRS during the assembly budget meetings. Telling all the sufferings of the old city, they have to wait for more years for development. But the government also reacted at the same level. Akbaruddin said that they will contest 50 seats in the next election. Akbaruddin’s meeting with Congress leaders has become a hot topic while there is a widespread discussion on this.
Akbaruddin met Congress MLAs led by CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. “Really contest in 50 constituencies in the state?” asked MLA Sridhar Babu. Akbaruddin said that the party will definitely compete. He said that BJP is campaigning as a B team, but they are moving ahead democratically. Akbaruddin lamented that BJP’s anarchy in the country and state is increasing. He clarified that BJP is completely polarizing the vote bank and that they will stand by their faction. Sridhar Babu questioned what MIM is doing like this. He went on to say that just like BJP, Owaisi has his own agenda. Akbaruddin made it clear that MIM will expand in the coming elections no matter what anyone thinks.
Congress and MIM parties were allies during Rajasekhar Reddy’s regime. During Kiran Kumar Reddy’s tenure as CM, there were misunderstandings between the two parties. MIM continues to be an ally of BRS after the partition of the state. But this bond is also currently breaking down.
