Mumbai: All set to be elected unopposed, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly will soon assume the office of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the President. Along with secretary-elect Jay Shah(Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son), former BCCI and ICC chief N Srinivasan, Niranjan Shah and Rajeev Shukla, Dada filed his nomination at the association’s headquarters. As the new team would assume office on October 23, Ganguly took to his official Twitter account to post the picture of his new team which has Anurag Thakur, his brother Arun Singh Dhumal, Jay Shah and few others. “I have never expressed my aspirations or this position as there were seniors in the BCCI,” he stated after filing the nomination. He affirmed that first-class cricket will be his priority. Dada is supposed to occupy that chair for 10 months and would probably come back as a potential Chief Minister candidate for Bengal.
