The health condition of singer SP Balasubrahmanyam continued to remain ‘extremely’ critical, confirmed the sources at MGM Hospitals on Friday. The legendary singer has been on a maximum life support system in the ICU after his health deteriorated from Thursday morning. Sources confirmed that a special team of experts at MGM Healthcare are closely monitoring his health condition.
Meanwhile, social media flooded with messaged from fans and celebs wishing for the speedy recovery of their beloved singer. Bollywood actor Salman Khan joined the Twitterati in praying for his recovery with an emotional post on Thursday. He also thanked the singer for being the actor’s voice in some of the best-loved songs in Bollywood.
“Bala Subramaniam sir. All the strength hope wishes from the bottom of my heart to a speedy recovery n thank u for every song u sang fr me n made special your dil dewana hero prem, Love u sir,” Salman wrote on Twitter.

It can be noted that SP Balasubrahmanyam had sung in several films starring Salman in the early days of the actor’s career like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ and ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Actor Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, visit the hospital and met the singers family members. Tollywood celebrities like Raghu Kunche, Tamman, Lakshmi Manchu, Namita, Krish, Payal Ghosh as well took to social media praying for Balu’s speedy recovery.
Fondly called as Balu, the singer has been in hospital since August 5 after testing positive for COVID-19. He also said that though doctors advised home quarantine and medications, he decided to get admitted to hospital. He was later shifted on life support and moved to the Intensive Care Unit after his health deteriorated for the first time on August 13th.
