Claiming that she was coerced to give self-incriminatory confession, it is to the known knowledge that actress Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in actor Sushant’s death case on Thursday moved special NDPS court in Mumbai.
While the above petition is one amongst the six bail applications filed in the same case, the special court on Friday rejected the pleas as Narcotics Control Bureau argued that the investigation is in a crucial stage.
The court presided by special judge GB Gurao also rejected the other bail pleas filed by Showik Chakraborty, Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda in connection with the drugs case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sources confirmed that the court on serious note considering the proofs submitted by NCB sleuths who claimed that Rhea not only consumed drugs but was also selling, transporting and involved in a deep conspiracy.
In response to the court’s order on Friday, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde stated that they would decide on the further action once they get a copy of the NDPS Special Court Order. Meanwhile, sources close to Rhea confirmed that her team would move the High Court next week.
While the actress and her brother in their bail petitions claimed they are being coerced to give self-incriminatory confession, NCB officials stated that Rhea voluntarily has accepted making arrangements of drugs for her boyfriend SSR and paying for it.
His brother Showik was also learnt to accept his hand in drug peddling and sources confirmed that he even revealed the names of industry biggies in connection with drug mafia.
