In a historic honour to the actor who turned Messiah for lakhs of stranded migrants by helping them reach their home villages during the lockdown, SpiceJet has dedicated a special aircraft to Sonu Sood with a huge painting of the actor on Boeing 737 aircraft.
The airline on Saturday unveiled a special livery with an image of the actor and a tag line which read “A salute to the saviour”. With this, Sonu Sood became the first Indian actor to make it to the livery of a domestic airline.
Reacting to the sweet gesture, Sonu Sood took to his official Twitter handle to drop a message which left the fans and followers emotional. “Remember coming from Moga to Mumbai on an unreserved ticket. Thank you everyone for all the love. Miss my parents more,” read his post with pictures of the Boeing 737 aircraft with is giant picture.

To recall from numerous interviews given by the actor, Sonu Sood fled to Mumbai from Punjab with dreams of becoming an actor after losing his mother Saroj Sood in 2007.
Besides his endeavours in Indian cinema, Sonu Sood grabbed headlines for his philanthropy helping lakhs of migrant reach their villages during nationwide lockdown due to the pandemic. He provided transport and succour to them.
