Srinivasa Gowda…a resident of Moodabidre, Karnataka is no longer a normal person after the video of him taking a 100 meters run in just 9.58 seconds. While many claimed the Kambala jockey to break the Usain Bolt’s world record, one cannot easily ignore his fit and chiselled body which shocked many of the fitness gurus. He became an overnight sensation while netizens compared him to the fastest sprinter in the world urging the sporting bodies to take note of the jockey.
In a recent revelation, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju confirmed that Srinivasa Gowda will be sent to the Olympics in the near future. Followed by a series of messages which tagged the sports minister, Kiren Rijiju responded saying that his team has already called him for trials by top Sports Authority of India(SAI) Coaches. Confirming that the Kambala sensation is on his way to Delhi, Kiren ensured that no hidden talent in India goes ignored.
In the line of the assurance made by the minister, Srinivas will undergo trails for all professional sporting competitions including Olympics under the top coaches of Sports Authority of India (SAI). “Officials from SAI have contacted him. His rail ticket is done and he will reach SAI centre on Monday. I will ensure top national coaches to conduct his trials properly,” read his tweet.

Kambala is an annual buffalo race held in the southwestern state of Karnataka. Traditionally, it is sponsored by local Tuluva landlords and households in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
