For the first time in the past one week, India on Thursday reported cases over 50,000-mask. According to the health bulletin released by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 50,209 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, while the country’s total cases surged to 83,64,086.
Fatalities as well registered a sharp rise with 704 new deaths, as the toll mounts to 1,24,315. The official data confirmed that a total of 5,27,962 are undergoing treatment while 55,331 new discharges weren’t noted in the last 24 hours. So far, 77,11,809 people were cured/discharged/migrated.

2,477 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the cumulative caseload to 8,33,208. The death toll increased to 6,744 as 10 more people succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease. Telangana, on the other hand, recorded 1,539 fresh coronavirus cases taking the total infection count to 2.45 lakh while five corona related deaths pushed the toll to 1,363.
