Known to be one of the well established and well-equipped hospitals in the country, Hyderabad’s Gandhi Hospital has been treating Corona patients ever since its inception in the country. Unfortunately, the hospital has been in news every now and then for all wrong reasons.
Starting with the junior doctors calling off duties over the attacks on them..the hospital management hit to headlines with turning a blind eye on norms while admitting the patients, dead bodies went missing, booze parties in the lobby. And now the hospital stood in the bad light with a complaint filed by the residents of Abhinava Nagar Colony and Padmarao Nagar Colony that lie adjacent to Gandhi Hospital’s mortuary.
Reportedly, the residents living nearby the mortuary approached the media complaining over the stench from the mortuary from the past ten days. Speaking on the same, Colony Association President R Rajesh Goud stated that they have registries a complaint with the hospital superintendent who paid no interest in solving the problem.
It was learnt that the cooling system in the mortuary that helps in maintaining minus degrees to store dead bodies is not working properly from the past few days. Upon which the stench from the stored corona dead bodies is spreading to the nearby residential areas. Demanding government and hospital authorities to pay attention to their problem, residents of both the colonies stated that they would resort to strike if not met.
