Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who rose to fame with her songs ’Baby Doll’ and ‘Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan’ tested positive to novel Coronavirus on Friday. According to the reports, the star singer was shifted to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital in Lucknow.
The singer who was reportedly under quarantine with her family from the past few days in Lucknow, confirmed the news through her social media handles. Meanwhile, the Gulf media which first reported the news stated that the actress refused to cooperate with the health authorities by not disclosing her travel history. She was also rumoured to host a party snubbing the alarm raised over the outbreak.
When questioned over the same, Kanika did not address the issue and stated that she and her family voluntarily remained in self-quarantine after their visit to London. “I didn’t dodge the authorities, neither did I host the party in Lucknow,” she stated. However, Bollywood sources confirmed that the singer attended three parties after she came back from London.
