The curious case of Suryapeta is taking interesting turns with each passing day. The victims of the incident approached the media and requested the officials to grant them extra security. They believe that they are in danger of death because of Minister Jagadishwar Reddy.
The victim’s family from Suryapet district’s Erkaram village district went all the way to the city and complained to the officials of the Human Rights Commission. They expressed their concerns about safety and asked for possible extra security. Her husband Ellayya, who is the president of the Suryapeta Mandla Congress party with political parties, has been jailed on illegal charges.
After his release from jail, Minister Jagadishwar Reddy and his followers once again attempted to assassinate him in the outskirts. It is now clear that the Suryapeta SP and DSP did not care if the assassination attempt was done as per the orders of the minister. As of now, her husband was jailed on illegal charges.
The victims explained to HRC that the minister was harassing their family by filing illegal cases linked with politics, after denying to join the TRS party. Her husband Ellayya, who is the president of the Suryapeta Mandla Congress party with political parties, has been jailed on illegal charges and under the PD Act.
The victim’s family has appealed to the district SP and DSP for protection for their family and her husband from minister Jagadishwar Reddy and his accomplice Vatte Janaya.
