In compliance with the orders issued by the Supreme Court, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday took over the probe into the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suspicious death from Mumbai police. A 16-member team of the CBI which reached Mumbai on Thursday, flung into action questioning the late actor’s staff.
Reportedly, the CBI team reached Bandra Police Station to meet the SHO and collect the evidence on Friday. The police were learnt to handover all 56 statements recorded, forensic reports and spot panchnama report to the CBI team led by officer Nupur Prasad.
Starting with the staff present at Sushant’s house on the day of death, CBI will start questioning all the accused in the case, including Rhea Chakraborty and members of her family, from next week, confirmed sources.
While the SIT was divided into three teams for an effective probe, one of the teams has already reached to Sushant’s residence – at Bandra’s Mont Blanc building. Sources revealed that the team will be recreating the crime scene with the help of the late actor’s dummy in exact height and weight as of the actor.
Rhea Chakraborty, a 28-year-old actor and girlfriend of the late actor, has been questioned twice by the Enforcement Directorate, while CBI has yet to decide where to question Rhea Chakraborty-usually CBI questions women accused at their homes.
