All eyes are on Superstar Rajinikanth’s meeting with the Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) functionaries on Monday over the most anticipated political entry of the 69-year-old legendary actor, while the day ended with suspense.
As the actor was expected to put an end to the speculations around his political plunge, the South Indian Superstar fizzled out his fans and followers announcing that he “will announce my decision soon” on his plans for electoral politics. This statement came close on the heels of doctors advising Rajinikanth against entering politics.
Addressing the reporters outside his Poes Garden residence in Chennai, Rajinikanth has not set any time frame to make his decision known to the public. “District office bearers expressed their opinions. They have said they will agree to whatever decision I make. I will announce my decision as soon as possible,” he stated.
However, what really happened in the meeting remained confidential. It was speculated that the functionaries after days of deliberation asked Thalaiva to take time for the most awaited announcement.
Last month, a letter surface online which hinted upon the actor’s political entry. Multiple sources were convinced that the letter was genuine. Though Rajini snubbed the authenticity of the letter, he confirmed that he was advised to restrict travel since he has a kidney condition and could be vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus.
