The Chairman post at TTD’s SVBC evacuated by the resignation of Prudhvi Raj followed by the controversial audiotape is now amidst suspense. It has now become a matter of debate in the Chief Minister office and TTD authorities over who should be appointed to this position. While the state is ablaze with the agitations over the ‘three capital’ proposal, filling up this nominated post has now become a prestigious thing for the state government. There has been a wave of backlash over YSRCP government and TTD with the leaked audiotape which allegedly has the voice of Prudhvi and a women employee. Heeding to the pressures upon which he resigned to the post. Sources close to TTD revealed that both the authorities this time opted to go with a person who doesn’t have a controversial background.
While the authorities came up with a number of options, all the eyes are now zeroed in on three members who are now in the final chairmanship race. Current 10TV managing director Swapna is on the front-run who is also serving as one of the directors at SVBC. Swapna’s long-standing affiliation with Sakshi channel which belongs to Jagan might become a fetching point for her. Adding to this, Swapna is also a person who keeps a safe distance from controversies. Former CS IYR Krishna Rao and director Srinivasa Reddy are the other two names on the list. Both of them have experience of service TTD and close association with Jagan and family which increased their chances of consideration. Sources revealed that CM Jagan and TTD Chairman YV Subbareddy are now looking into the three people holding talks with respective authorities for the best suitable.
