Adding one more to the list of rude shocks to Jagan-led government, Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday stayed the arrest warrant along with the FIR filed against Dr Ramesh in relation to the fire accident in the quarantine centre.
In what can be called a relief to the leading hospital chain, the High Court issued interim orders not to take further action against Dr Ramesh who went incommunicado two days after the accident.
Hearing a quash petition filed by Ramesh Hospitals MD Ramesh, the High Court turned furious on the state government for not holding district collector, joint collector and the DHMO accountable for the accident.
“They are the officials who granted permission for the hotel to turn it into quarantine. The fault lies with officials as well, why aren’t the names of the collector, joint collector and DMHO not included in the case?” questioned the court which came as a shock to the state government.
It is to the known knowledge that Dr Pothineni Ramesh Babu filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court-hours after the Krishna district administration revoked the ‘Category A’ COVID license given to Ramesh Hospitals.
