In a major setback to Chinese airforce, Chinese Sukhoi 35S fighter plane that ventured into the Taiwanese airspace crashed on Friday. While there is no information on how the crash occurred, the videos of the fighter jet on blaze in the residential area are going viral on social media.
Multiple reports & videos coming in of Taiwan shooting down a 🇨🇳 Chinese Su-35 fighter jet.
Waiting for the Chinese govt to acknowledge & respond to these reports.
It's huge from 🇮🇳 point of view too, if & when it's confirmed by China. @NewsX @Inkhabar@Indianewsup @writetake pic.twitter.com/AsuCgxSv3C

According to a report by The Jewish Press the plane crashed in Guangxi, an autonomous coastal region in southern China, bordering Vietnam, after intruding into the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
Meanwhile, local Taiwan media claimed it as a result of an attack by the Taiwanese military, speculations came in support of the technical malfunction. Chinese officials, on the other hand, refuted the rumour around the military attack and stated that the jet crashed due to technical glitch. However, an official announcement is yet to be given.
Taiwanese military forces whose relations with China are currently strained also chose to remain tight-lipped while the social media witness a trend supporting Taiwan airforce.
