With COVID’s new variant Omicron sending quivers across the world, the Indian government has been implementing stringent restrictions. While many of the state governments are imposing isolation of a week after recovering from COVID and testing positive, the health department is seeking explanation and levying fines who floated the rules.
Tamil Nadu government is amongst the list who recently sought an explanation from actor-turned-politician Kamal Hassan. Reportedly, the Tamil Nadu Department of Health and Family Welfare is disappointed with Kamal as he went straight to the shoot of his TV show Bigg Boss Tamil, which he is hosting after tested negative and discharged from hospital after recovering from COVID.
“Kamal Haasan hasn’t isolated himself for seven days. Instead, he had gone to shoot for Bigg Boss. So, the health department will be sending a notice to him seeking an explanation for his action,” said he TN Health Secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan on Monday.
During Kamal’s hospitalization, actress Ramya Krishnan had guest-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil for a week.
