In a shocking revelation, Tamil producers’ council on Tuesday gave a deadly shock to star hero Simbu. The council in its recent statement announced that they would hereby not support the films produced by Simbu.
Quoting the reason behind the step taken, the council condemned the actor breaching the agreement made with producer Balaji Kaaba regarding clearing the pending debts. It all started with Simbu starrer ’Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan’ movie produced by Micheal.
Though Micheal was the producer, it was rumoured that Simbu took over the production responsibilities overshadowing the former. The movie, however, stood as a dud at box-office leaving distributors and producers in the loss. There came the issue, as Simbu left an agreement that he would take zero remuneration or pay Rs 6.60 crores if the movie is a flop.
According to producer Micheal, Simbu broke the agreement to bear the losses after which the producer approached the producers guild. Upon proper probe, the council which called for an emergency meeting concluded with a decision to ban Simbu’s movies.
While PEPSI as well, conveyed support to the council, the actor is yet to respond on the issue.
