Andhra Pradesh assembly session which started on Monday as expected took a heated turn with TDP taking to a protest in the assembly premises. TDP MLAs, leaders including the supremo Chandrababu Naidu raised slogans against the Jagan-led government in support with the farmers who lost their crops due to rains caused by cyclone Nivar.
The leaders came to the assembly carrying crops demanding the government to respond on issues like sand policy, distribution of house site pattas, Polavaram and local body elections and 20 other issues to expose failures of the Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
On this note, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu fumed that the government had failed to alert farmers during the storm and demanded to support the farmers. The Assembly took up condolences on the death of over 17 personalities, who included former President Pranab Mukherjee, playback singer SP Balasubramanyam and others.
