Q News chief Teenmar Mallanna alias Chintapandu Naveen Kumar who is on remand at Chanchalguda jail took an unexpected decision. Protesting against the illegal cases registered against him, the journalist-turned-politician went on hunger strike on Tuesday evening.
While Mallanna is all set to get released on bail on Wednesday, the chief of Q news was booked under unknown cases in Jagdevpur. The development drew flak of oppositions and various journalist outfits who accused the police of levying cases with vested interests.
Teenmar Mallanna fans, on the other hand, are outraged at the way the police and the government are resorting to a political vendetta against the young politician. The fan organization warned the government of consequences if the leader is not released immediately. They alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched to keep Teenmar Mallanna jailed till the completion of the Huzurabad by-election.
