The health condition of BJP state unit president Bandi Sanjay is reportedly deteriorating as the leader continued his protest for the second straight day at his Karimnagar office in protest against his arrest by Siddipet police. Concerns over the Karimnagar MP’s health raised with reports stating that his sugar levels are continuously dropping.
Alleging assault earlier in the day, the BJP MP resorted to dharna demanding the resignation of Siddipet police commissioner Joel Davis. Sanjay also condemned the raid by the police on the residences of the BJP’s Dubbak candidate M. Raghunandan Rao’s relatives in Siddipet.
Bandi also urged the Election Commission to intervene in the matter and wanted a criminal case to be registered against the Siddipet CP. Meanwhile, BJP activists staged protest demonstrations in Manakondur, Metpalli, Karimnagar and gave a bandh call in Ghambiraopet mandal.
It all started with raids in on Raghunandan Rao, the BJP candidate for Dubbaka by-polls. Police seized Rs 18.65 lakh from the house of Raghunandan’s relative in Siddipet. The police also claimed that they conducted raids on houses of eight persons.
