An incident took place in Medchal where a farmer tried to commit suicide, alleging that someone else had occupied his land which actually was rented out. According to the police, a person named Gangaram of Raja Bollaram village in Medchal mandal has 18 acres of 5 pits of land.
They rented it out to people from the same village and migrated to Puttagudem Thanda in Rajapet mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. When the Gangaram family returned after some time, they went to the village of Raja Bollaram and found that the land was occupied by someone other than the one who had leased it. Gangaram’s family members are alleging that if they ask about this, they are threatening them.
They expressed concerns that the people who are occupying their land had tampered with the records. Gangaram’s family members went to complain about the same at Medchal District Collectorate’s public address.
But Gangaram tried to commit suicide by pouring the kerosene himself which he had brought, alleging that no one cared about him. The police and locals stopped them there. Immediately Gangaram was taken to Samir Peta Police Station.
