Tension gripped Telangana while the total number of cases in the state reached to 45 by Thursday. Including the doctor couple, four new cases were reported raising alarm over the spreading novel Coronavirus in the state. Meanwhile, the government started declaring Red Zones, where the residents in the zones were strictly instructed not to come out of their houses and would be arrested if they flouted orders.
Red Zones are usually the areas where positive cases were registered which will be cordoned off with barricades on all sides and deployment of police forces. While Chandanagar, BHEL and a few places in Karimnagar were already declared Red Zones, the densely populated Film Nagar joined the list on Friday. A number of banners arranged by the Government of Telangana warning the citizen to restrain from entering were seen across the Film Nagar.
Rumour mongers stated that six positive cases are already registered in this locality while the authorities are speculating more number of cases in the coming days as the area is known to be densely populated with movie artists and artisans. However, the locality went rife with rumours that the officials are hiding the actual number of positive cases to avoid the citizen from panic.
