With the ‘Greater’ campaigning coming to an end on Sunday, the spotlight is now on the most awaited big ‘poll’ day i.e, December 1st. In what might be the last ever elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal elections (GHMC), in which voters from the over 77 lakh residents will elect corporators to 150 wards.
While the polling will be held tomorrow, results will be declared on December 4. According to the information furnished by the State Election Commissioner, C Partha Sarathi as many as 74,67,256 persons will exercise their right to vote. Of the total, 38,89,637 are men voters and 35,76,941 are women voters.
Besides, 36,404 personnel have been deployed for polling duty, 60 flying squads will scrutinise the election procedures across 150 wards. In the line of the advisories issued, all the voters need to furnish photo identity cards at the polling centres to exercise their vote.
Meanwhile, the COVID restrictions are said to be intact at all the polling booths while all the voters are instructed to wear a mask before entering the polling centre. Sanitizers will be provided at the entry and exit point of every polling station.
