Lending a helping hand to the struggling farmers through ‘Rythu Bandhu’ is one of the poll promises made by the TRS supremo and State Chief Minister KCR who ‘apparently’ kept up with his promise. Why apparently is that the state government dropped a piece of shocking news which has been taking the farming community to some serious debates.
In a recent revelation, KCR declared the state government’s decision to have regulatory agriculture cultivation in Telangana State. In the line of ‘Rythu Badhu’ scheme introduced Rs. 5,000 will be credited into the registered accounts of the farmers every year. But according to the new regulation in the Telangana, the Chief Minister wanted the state farmers to cultivate the crops as suggested by the government.
The government will soon announce what crops should be cultivated in which areas and to what extent. It was also decided to offer Rythu Bandhu benefits to the farmers who cultivate crops as directed by the state and their produce would get the MSP. It was learnt that the CM also declared the regulatory cultivation of Paddy would begin from this Monsoon season followed by a high-level review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the government has decided that paddy would be cultivated in the state in 50 lakh acres. This came as a shock to the farming community in the state who are now left puzzled approaching the region agriculture officers and the helpline centres for further clarification.
