COVID phase gave tough times for all the state governments in India and things are no different for Telangana the worst-hit state. While Governor herself rolled up her sleeves fuming at the KCR-led state government over the containment strategies, things started to take a U-turn from then.
In a recent development, Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan breathed fire at the State government for not taking up the recruitment of Vice-Chancellors to 10 universities in the State. Sources confirmed that the Governor has shot a serious letter over the delay in the appointment of full-time VCs to the state-owned universities.
This has sent shock signals in the state political circles, as the development is new to the state which is one of the non-BJP states. A section of circles speculated of the BJP’s influence on the Governor as the party also filed the complaint about the delay in selecting vice-chancellor.
It was also speculated that the Governor would turn active by the time the assembly approaches in the state like what is happening in Kerala and West Bengal.
