Dismissing the revision petition filed by the state government, the bench comprising of ACJ Justice Ramachandra Rao, Justice Vinod Kumar refused to modify the court’s order stating that it would further pollute the lake.
Further, the court expressed discontent over the state government, the court stated that it is the government’s responsibility to resolve such issues that would pollute the environment. The high court further questioned the government if it follows or violates the laws.
The court also asked the authorities to take steps to make sure that devotees from far-off places don’t come to Hussain Sagar for immersion. It asked the government to encourage devotees to immerse small idols in buckets at their homes.
