Four days of nail-biting counting of votes which started on March 17 came to an end on Saturday boosting the morale of the ruling TRS party. In the most awaited results, TRS bagged both the two graduates constituencies Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda.
Beating a total of 93 candidates contested from the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar constituency, Vani Devi, the daughter of late Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao won the elections with a lead of 36,580 votes over sitting MLC from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), N Ramchander Rao.
Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda seat, on the other hand, was bagged by TRS sitting MLC Palla Rajeshwar TRS candidate over his nearest rival and independent candidate Teenmaar Mallanna.
While an official announcement is yet to be made, celebrations started at TRS Bhavan with party leaders and activists bursting firecrackers and distributing sweets to each other.
