A day after the trade unions and steel plant employees intensified the protests against the state and central government followed by the Finance Minister’s statement, Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday made a statement that boosted the morale of the protestors.
Extending his complete support to the agitation, KTR stated that he will soon join the fight against privatisation. “If needed, we are ready to participate in dharna in Visakhapatnam with the permission from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao,” he added.
Further lashing out on the BJP-led government, KTR said that the BJP government could be BHEL tomorrow and Singareni colonies as well very soon. “Our complete support is with the Vizag Steel Plant employees and we expect the same support to Telangana whenever in need,” KTR said.
This came as unexpected support to the unions and employees who have been waging protests for the past few weeks.
