The agitation of farmers continues for the cancellation of the Kamareddy Master Plan. The struggle they are doing every day in an innovative way reminds us of the Telangana movement. At that time, if they used to organize a cooking program on the road to achieving Swarashtra, now the same farmers have taken the same path to protect their lands.
Farmers have come to the roads and are staging a dharna in the wake of the call for an eight-day blockade of the Jagityas for the cancellation of the master plan. Ambari Peta and Husnabad food donors camped on the Jagityala Nizamabad road. The villagers of Timmapur and Mote also staged a dharna on the Jagityala Peddapalli road. They cooked food on the road and ate sitting on the road. Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan slogans were raised.
On the other hand, there are protests in other villages against the master plan. There was a huge traffic jam in the wake of the farmers’ agitation. Even though the vehicles are jammed and causing trouble, the passengers are standing in support of the farmers. The government has yet to respond and wants to cancel the master plan as per the demand of the farmers. On the other hand, they protested by locking the Gram Panchayat office in Narsingapur. Farmers have made it clear that they will continue their protests until the master plan is canceled.
And if this is the case, the protest against Minister Koppula Eshwar in Jagityala district has reached its peak. Farmers stopped the minister in the middle of the way while he was going to start the Kanti Velam camp in the district center. They staged a protest on the road to cancel the master plan. There was nothing to be done or the minister turned back. Farmers of many villages have taken up protests after the leaders of Rythu JAC called for an eight-day blockade of Jagityala district against the master plan. In this order, the minister has postponed the Kanti velam program. These agitations have been going on since the 7th of this month to cancel the master plan. This led to protests across the district.
