Days of speculation over SCC exams in Telangana, one of the states with surging corona cases ended on Saturday with the High Court’s verdict. Clearing the air over the exam schedule, the state High Court stated that there would be no change in the schedule with certain exemptions.
Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts which are identified are corona hotspots can’t be allowed to hold exams in the GHMC area while the rest of the state can continue with the exams with issued precautions. High Court hereby stated that the Telangana SSC board can conduct the exams as per the schedule previously i.e, from June 8th.
A bench of judge Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy said the government should display adaptability in respect of these students whose parents don’t want to send them out for exams due to Covid-19 fear. The students who don’t want to appear in examination starting from Monday should be allowed to appear in the supplementary examination to be held on a later date. The students appearing for supplementary examination will be treated as regular students only.
