Telangana Tourism corporation chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta announcing Bigg Boss-4 fame YouTube Star Dethadi Harika as the state tourism brand ambassador..handing over the appointment letter to the former on Women’s Day..everything happened in a snap. However, what turned controversy is the official website removing the YouTube star’s name all of a sudden.
Around the speculations that the 23-year-old was called off as the ambassador as the high command is not in agreement with the appointment, Srinivas Gupta on Wednesday broke the silence. Reacting to the news that the brand ambassador was removed by the government, Srinivas Gupta said that there was no truth in the news that Harika was removed.
He further said that they approached the YouTube star to utilise her popularity in the youth. Reacting to the rumours, Harika took to her social media handles to urge the fans to stop circulating fake news. Sources have it that Harika will be paid Rs 1.25 lakh per month for four to five promotional videos on Telangana tourism.
