Seems like the few leaders left in the TDP also made up their minds in giving a series of jolts to the party supremo while local body elections are right around the corner. Followed by MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and Satish Reddy, two crucial leaders with good followers base in Kadapa region, rumours went rife that another senior is all set to bid adieus to the main Opposition.
If the information from the trusted sources is to be believed, former minister and senior leader Sidda Raghava Rao is likely to join the ruling YSRCP anytime soon. Adding support to the speculations, the Prakasam district leader has been holding a roll of meetings with a few of the YSRCP leaders.
It was also learnt that the senior leader would join the party in an official meet with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the Undavalli residence on Saturday. Sidda Raghava Rao served in Chandrababu’s cabinet after he won the 2014 assembly seat on TDP ticked from Darsi constituency.
This will no doubt leave the main Opposition and its supremo Chandrababu in neck-deep troubles as the political analysts speculated many such defections in the coming days before the elections.
