Weather forecasts from IMD, Hyderabad continued to honk high alert with heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is expected at isolated places in the state in the coming four days. While the state is still battling to bring back normalcy in the low-lying areas after a heavy batter of incessant rains, the forecasts came as bad news for the rescue teams.
According to the recent forecast from IMD, heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana on Tuesday and Wednesday. Followed by which, the respective district authorities has issued advisories to the public to stay vigilant. As many as 70 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents during the past week – 33 in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and adjoining areas and 37 in other districts.
Moderate to heavy rains have been drenching the areas like Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Ameerpet, Pathabasti, Begumpet, Bowenpalli, Nampally, Paradise, Koti, Suchitra, Abdullapur, Jeedimetla, Balanagar and fe other places in and around Hyderabad. Tensions prevailed high in coastal Andhra as well, due to a deep depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal.
