Following the footsteps taken by the Corona hit states like Rajasthan, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir, both the Telugu states on Sunday called for a lockdown till March 31. He also announced free ration to the poor and Rs 1000 assistance per family. “I urge the citizen not panic as situations are relatively better in AP, compared to other states,” he averred. Meanwhile, the first positive Coronavirus case in Nellore has recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
“It is government’s utmost responsibility to introduce measures to curb the infection chain upon which lockdown decision has been taken as per the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897,” said KCR addressing the citizen of the state. Confirming the total number of coronavirus positive cases had gone up to 26, Telangana CM also stated that all international flight services were suspended. “Except for the businesses and government establishments dealing with essential items and services, all others will remain shut.
