Minister KTR responded to Kamareddy Master Plan. He asked the municipal commissioner why the problem of the master plan had arisen. KTR expressed his anger that why they could not tell the people that the master plan is in the draft stage. KTR said that some people are worried about Kamareddy Industrial Zone and this government does not want to trouble anyone.
“We exist to help the people and the master plan is for the development of cities,” said the minister. Earlier on Thursday, farmers protested at the Collectorate to immediately withdraw the new master plan of Kamareddy. Farmers tried to enter the collectorate. The police stopped them.
Eight villages of Ellareddy and Kamareddy assembly constituencies have been included in the Kamareddy master plan. Lands will be collected from the farmers in these villages and allocated to the industrial corridor. Farmers are opposing this proposal. Farmers say that they will not be given lands that will provide them with livelihood.
On the other hand, it is known that a farmer named Ramulu committed suicide yesterday due to the fear of losing his land. In the wake of this incident, today the farmers of eight villages reached the Collectorate in a rally and protested. The farmers said that they have no intention of giving up their lands. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao and former Ellareddy MLA Ravinder Reddy also participated in the dharna in support of the farmers.
