National politics are currently revolving around Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Punjab. On one hand, there is a war of words between the BJP and Congress. On the other hand, there is a discussion on incapable security.
The Prime Minister left for Punjab on Wednesday to launch projects worth thousands of crores of rupees. After getting off the plane, he set out on the road to pay their respects at Martyrs’ Memorial in Hassaniwala. There he encountered an unexpected situation where some people blocked the convoy.
With this happening, the Prime minister had to stay in his car on Nadi Road for 20 minutes right there on the flyover. He eventually canceled the tour and returned to Delhi.
PM Modi spoke to officials on his way to the airport, saying, “I have been able to come here alive. Thanks to your CM”. These remarks made by Modi sparked a political uproar. BJP leaders are now attacking criticism of the Punjab government.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders are throwing tantrums at BJP leaders. Critics are saying that there weren’t enough people to attend Prime Minister’s meeting, and that is the actual reason behind canceling the event.
