Hours after the encounter which drew traction from across the nation, the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Sajjanar has addressed the media from the encounter spot in Chantanpally. Officer Sajjanar gave the details of the attack which started with from the four accused pelting stones which in turn led into an encounter. According to the Cyberabad Commissioner Sajjanar, the four accused had been taken to the Chatanpally underpass, the place where Disha’s body was burnt, early on Friday morning as a part of the investigation.
“During the Crime Scene Recreation, after collecting the evidence around 5.45 am, the four attacked the police team with stones and sticks found on the spot,” he added. Sajjanar stated that it was A1 Mohammad Arif who initiated the attack snatching the weapon from one of the guards. “Even after repeated warnings from our end to surrender, A1 and A4, Arif and Chennakesavulu, opened fire at the police, and the police officials were forced to retaliate. Commissioner of Police also revealed that two police officers named Arvind Goud and Venkateshwarulu were seriously injured in the attack. Answering to the questions from the media people, the commissioner stated that they have found Disha’s phone, power bank and her watch buried in a place near the underpass.
