YSRTP president YS Sharmila said that the state budget is like the old wine in a new bottle. She criticized that last year’s budget was copied and pasted and this time there were errors. She said that there is no real connection between the allocations and the funds being spent.
She spoke at a press meeting organized in Dharmasagar as part of the Praja Prasthana Yatra. Sharmila said that the words spoken by the CM are simply empty and lacked action. She was furious that he has not kept a single promise to the people in eight and a half years. Sharmila criticized that if Rs 20,000 crores were spent on Devada, Kantanapally, Dindi, SLBC, Sitaram, and Nakkala Gandi projects even after assuming power, it would have sunk in three years.
She said that 33 projects would have been completed even if one-quarter of the project cost had been spent. Sharmila blamed the allocation of only 6 thousand crores in the budget when 36 lakh farmers are waiting for loan waivers. She was infuriated stating that the subsidy given to the farmers was a mere Rs 10,000 in the name of Rythu Bandhu.
“KCR, who claims to have made farmers the king, must answer as to why they are committing suicide in the state,” saying so, she flagged that KCR has made the state a pile of debt with Rs 4,80 lakh crore.
