Kothapeta Police under Guntur Urban has taken Raavi Krishna Vamsi and Bobbili Sarathchandra Rai into custody filing cases upon posting the morphed pictures of the Chief Minister. They are alleged to creating fake accounts with the name Chandu Bobbili and are encouraging negative propaganda against Jagan reportedly. The same has happened with Panatala Harikumar of Sarasanapalli village for leaving harsh comments on the CM.
TDP senior leader Varla Ramaiah has recently approached the police to file a case against certain social media accounts that are targeting the personal reputation of him and his family members with obscene pictures. In his statement, he also stated that his party Chief Chandrababu, General Secretary Nara Lokesh and few other women leaders are being targeted on purpose. “TDP has so far made 33 complaints and the police haven’t even registered half of them,” he said.
On this note, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu took to a media meet to protest the bias set out by the police department. The opposition leader with the help of a powerpoint presentation lashed out on the ruling party’s followers who are deliberately targeting TDP and the party leaders on various social media channels. He then showed the screenshots of a few comments and the morphed photos of Lokesh and him which are stated to be tarnishing their reputation.
Rounding this off, the social media war between the ruling and opposition seems to rage like never before. When YSRCP was in opposition, hundreds of micro-blogging websites and social media groups were alleged to be run with anti-government propaganda. Chandrababu Naidu back then stated that to be one of the strategies of the PK group. However, this social media war is taking new twists with every passing day. The ruling party is yet to respond to the opposition leader’s allegation.
