Congress leader and former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah was furious with Chief Minister KCR. “If KCR is going to bring a peasant kingdom, it is ridiculous. The money stolen by KCR is temporary. Has KCR forgotten the fact that he put shackles on the farmers?” He asked.
“Why KCR did not waive the farmers’ loans in the kingdom of farmers? Due to KCR’s negligence, the accounts of 16 lakh farmers were frozen. The farmers got into debt by taking money from outside at high-interest rates. There is no compensation for crop damage or support price. When millers buy paddy from farmers, the government announces support prices. This method is for farmers. It is to do damage and benefit the millers,” Mandi said.
“KCR does not have the guts to say that he has fulfilled the promises made in the last election. Why is he not giving the figures of how many acres of water are being given due to the Kaleshwaram project? Why are they not giving double-bedroom houses and three acres of land to Dalits? There has been corruption in power purchases, are we ready to discuss this?” Ponnala challenged KCR.
Ponnala said, “Is there law and order in Telangana? What are the police doing when they are walking on the road saying that BRS ZPTC will be axed? No matter how much money KCR looted, it will not last forever. They have looted enough in Mission Kakatiya. There is nothing left,” Ponnala said. Angry at BJP, he said it is a shame to include leaders from other parties.
