Though it has been a speculated move, Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan’s nod to the two controversial bills including the three capitals bill rattled the state political circles on Friday. Condemning the Governor’s decision, former chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu stated it as a historical blunder.
“It is a dark day in the history of the state. The unconstitutional decision taken by the Governor not only creates havoc in the state but will also leave over 29,000 farmers’ lives in oblivion,” he averred. Claiming that the bills are against AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, the ex-CM vowed that they wage a legal war against the Governor’s decision.
“We need decentralisation in development and employment, not in governance. Governor’s decision is shadowed by the ruling party’s optical vendetta. We in opposition condemn this move,” he lashed out. Chandrababu also found fault with the state government concentrating on passing the bills while the state is turning a graveyard with over 10,000 cases a day.
