Fours days after a 10TV reported working in Delhi turned positive for Coronavirus, the Telugu journalist community in the national capital was hit by Tuesday test reports. As per the media reports, another three Telangana-based journalists working in New Delhi have tested positive for Covid-19. In the wake of a series of cases where on-field journalist being infected with the dreadful coronavirus, Telugu media was left with a jolt.
Confirming the same, Telangana Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana announced that the state government decided to extend financial help to the infected journalists. The academy has announced Rs. 20,000 for each for the three journalists in Delhi and one in Gadwal district. The government also stated that it has already released Rs 12 lakh for testings and treatment of the journalists working on the frontline.
Narayana also academy would also give Rs 10,000 each to nine journalists, five in Mahabubnagar district and four in Gadwal who are under home quarantine. It is to the known knowledge that a number of on-field journalists from across the country are turning positive while Mumbai topped the list with as many as 50 cases last month followed by Tamil Nadu.
