Touted to be the page-turner in both present CM Jagan and Andhra Pradesh political history, ‘Padayatra’, a year-long walkathon ruling YSRCP Chief has completed three years on Friday.
Named as the ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’, the then opposition leader Jagan on November 6, 2017, called for the walkathon taking inspiration from his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
Starting from Idupulapaya in Kadapa district Jagan had walked 3,648 kms covering 2,516 villages and 62 towns and cities 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh interacting with the people. The yatra which continued for 14 months is indeed acted as one of the prime reasons behind YSRCP’s victory.
To mark the big event, the party is organising rallies and events in all the constituencies across the state starting from Friday. The party launched a 10-day public awareness program called ‘Prajallo Naadu – Prajala Kosam Nedu’, which means “among the public then – for the public now”.
